Current CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider) certification or Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from one of the 5 National Training Agencies: Canadian Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, St. John’s Ambulance, Heart & Stroke, Canadian Ski Patrol.

Please note that the Red Cross does not accept St. Mark James’ certification as pre-req (student will be sent back home, and no compensation will be made).

1-year certification

Please note that BLS does not have an online component. All materials will be delivered via classroom session. Please disregard the part of the course receipt that states to “complete the online component before attending the classroom session”.

Vida First Aid is NOT responsible for students that are unable to keep up with the fast pace.  Please note that the Fast Pace course covers Professional Development skills + 20 question knowledge evaluation in 2 hours. Please reach out, and we will be happy to provide a pre-learning material.



Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, unprecedented demand has forced 3M to place respiratory products on global allocation. Vida First Aid currently unable to stock any 3M masks, therefore cannot hand masks out to students for the Fit Test. We are happy to run the test ‘Free of Charge‘ if students bring their own masks.

2-3 hours (recertification)

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. *Vida First Aid does not offer Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy*

In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.


  • Successfully demonstrate all course skill competencies
  • Minimum 75% mark for written, closed book, knowledge evaluation
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course
